Women in Aerospace Nigeria (NIGCOMSAT Chapter) celebrates the International day of Women and Girls in Science in collaboration with the Odyssey Educational Foundation and American Spaces Nigeria today in Abuja.
The Managing Director Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd, Dr Abimbola Alale in her opening remarks spoke on the need to create more awareness by introducing innovative ways of teaching STEM courses and showcasing incentives such as scholarships for outstanding students.
The Nodal Coordinator of the chapter Engr.Florence Ibrahim gave an overview on the activities embarked by WIAN- NIGCOMSAT since inception and the group’s drive to do more in encouraging women and girls to pursue careers in the sector.
Government Secondary School emerged the winner of the quiz competition and prizes were given to the all contestants.
