The NIGCOMSAT chapter of Women In Aerospace Nigeria (WIAN) celebrated the International day of Women & Girls in Science 2021 today at Odyssey Educational Foundation in Gwarinpa.
The event themed ‘Women Scientists at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19″ held a career talk featuring women who have established their careers in STEM fields, the speakers encouraged students on the possibilities in the vibrant world of science.
Nodal Coordinator, WIAN (NIGCOMSAT Chapter), Engr. Florence Ibrahim stated that ‘this is the first in a series of planned outreach events for 2021’. The group said it is committed to empowering women and girls who have a keen interest in pursuing careers in STEM fields.
